Grams 81st birthday dinner
After school went back home for some rest before preparing to leave for grams big day. Left the house at 6 and headed down to the florist at TP central to buy a bouquet of flowers for grams before meeting Mama at the MRT station. Arrived at the restaurant at around 650. Only 1st 2nd aunt, Uncle Joshua and family were there. Grams had not arrived. We were walking around taking photos and playing with Jordan.

Mun and I went to the near-by shop to buy the VCD for later programmes. When we went back the the restaurant, Grams finally arrived. She was smiling from ear to ear and only teeth could be seen.

Not long later, Uncle Sunny and his family came. Finally got to see Chong's girlfriend after they have been together for so many year. His girlfriend looked quite familiar.And both of them have the couple look.haha. At 7 plus, Mun and I went down to help Ed pay for his cab fare. On the way up he was saying how busy he was with his attachment. Once he arrived he went on to read his script. Chong helped up in translating the script for Ed. Chong's Chinese words quite nice and very neat. They had problems translating the sentence in ' Sit back and relax to enjoy the slide show we had prepared' So Ed came up with ' Qin kan VCR' Daphne was asking now where got VCR. It sounded when I was watching ABCDEF4 quite sometime ago.

Finally after a very very long time the dinner started. The first dish was Cold dish. The rest of the dish I could not really remember.Grams was walking around posing with all the other guest. And introducing her god- daughter to us.

And soon Ed and Mun went up on stage to say a thank you speech to the other guest on behalf of grams. Both of them very sure funny. Ed was speaking in English and Mun the Mandarin version. And last but not least the one very video all of us were looking forward to.Uncle Wing Leong's one day creation on Grams past photos and the family photos. It was very memorable and funny. Especially when it came to this photo everyone started laughing.

This photo was taken i think more than 10 years ago at some aunty's wedding dinner. We the small little kids had nothing to do so we decided to some up with this pose.

This photo can tell us than time pass very fast.

After the video was the cutting of the birthday cake. The 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren went on stage to sing a birthday song for our beloved grandmother. The birthday song was in English and Canto. When it came to the Canto part everyone of us did not know how to sing except for the last phrase ' Gong Hei Lei! Gong Hei Lei !' It was super hilarious. As I was carrying dear little Jun Xin, Daryl presented the bouquet of roses to Grams. LOL!!

Next up was singing session. Mun pulled me up on the stage to sing. And of all songs was a Canto song. So I ended up stand beside her listening to her and ED singing. The next song was 'tian mi mi' and 'yue liang dai biao wo de xin' Lucky I did not em brass myself by going off key.

The next singer was Chong. He sang JJ's 'Yi Qian Nian Yi Hou' and when he sang half way the sound system went off. And when he tired again after they restored the sound system it went off again. LOL!! Mum and Aunty Jolene went up to sing some old song which I never heard it in my life before. That moment was really funny. The key was too high that Mum could not reach and she was squeaking the whole time.

After the song ended, the manager of the restaurant said he wants to sing 2 songs dedicated to Grams and another guy who was also celebrating his birthday. His singing was ' so fantastic' that everyone started leaving after his first song. I think if he did not start singing the dinner would not end so early at 1030. haha. After all the guest left we gathered round to take a family photo. A photo which was not taken for many many years.

Haha. Big family. Try spotting me =)

The aftermath of the dinner. Had lots of fun. Met many grandaunt and uncles whom I do not remember seeing them. A great and memorable family gathering. =)
