Today's mass was kind of enlightening. Homily was by Fr. Val. He said that people are not willing to join the church ministries as it is the priest who calls them to join and not GOD. Some even feel that it is the church's responsibility to pass on the word of GOD the the children. I guess these people are just weird. The church is the house of GOD and the community is formed by us. Poeple are finding excuses not to join the church ministries. I guess one of them is me. Each time I have been giving myself excuses on not going back to the choir. Week after week, month after month. Everytime I have been telling myself 'Wait for GOD's calling.' But in fact HE has given me lots of answers and directions, just that I do not have the courage to seek permition.
After hearing Fr. Val's homily, I really had the urge to go back. As what he said GOD gives us trials is to see how we are able to trust HIM. We do not pray for the trial to go away or not to come. We pray for the courage to face the trial and to trust GOD in the path HE has set for us.
I really hope in the days to come, I will have the courage to go back to the choir and serve GOD. Remembering what Mr. Armstrong told me few years back during the preparation for examination mass:' Serve GOD with your talents.'
