2 weddings in a day
Woke up earlier than usual on a Sunday morning. Not that i have to be in church earlier but had to attend Jakie's and Chris' wedding tea ceremoney. Another addition to the family. We arrived at Woodlands super early therefore we decided to have breakfast at BK before heading to Jackie's and Chris' newly furnished home. Evon and family were already there when we arrived. We waited and entertained ourselves while waiting for the newly-wed to arrive. As timed passed, the place was getting crowded. Relatives started coming in. But there was none i know. It was after 1030am, Uncle Joshua and family together with Grams arrived and followed by Uncle Sunny and Aunty. At around 11 plus, the newly-wed finally arrived. First time seeing my cousin dressed so smartly. We had photo taking and buffet brunch followed by the traditional tea ceremony. Aunty was super funny, she gave Jackie a card and he had to read it out in front of everyone. After the tea ceremony, there was more photo taking. All of us left at around 12 plus 1. On the car, we decided to go to the coffee shop and thereafter to J8.
Reached home at 330. Rest for a little while before preparing to leave for Uncle Eric and Aunty Jacylene's wedding dinner. There weddig dinner was held at Zhou's Kitchen which is located at Far East Square. Had to walk a super long way from the bus stop. Before I could even sit down, was legs were already on the verge of breaking. It was my first time meeting Aunty Jacylene. She's pretty. I love her gown. =D
Met many grandauintes, granduncles, uncles, aunties and cousins. There were so many of them until i did not know how to address them. In short, hello uncle, aunty. It was a super long time since i met them. It was either once a year or never in a few years. Wow. But the sad thing was the good looking cousin did not turn up.
At 8pm, their solemnization started. It meant to be a quiet and serious ceremony but everyone seems to be talking away and could not be bothered. =( Dinner was served not long after. The food was not bad. For the whole time, video of their weding photos and photos of them from baby to now were flashed. So sweet. And i realised Aunty Jacylene is only 4 years older than me!! She had 3 gowns for that night. All of it were so pretty and sweet looking. It was no ordinary a plain white gown. It was a white and red gown with little prints and sequins sewn on it. The other one was a blue gown. The wedding dinner ended at 10 plus and everyone were streaming out of the restaurant. I think it will be a long time later when i meet all my other uncles, aunties and cousins.
GOD bless the both couples. May their lives be sweeter by the day and may they be always so loving.
