What a wonderful family trip to Penang.. Though Penang has nothing much to walk around and shop, I still had fun because we went together as a big family.. And i love it so much..
We left for Penang on Friday night at around 930pm. At first i was kind of tired cause i had to rush home from school. But the moment all of us got up the bus, we were super duper high. Walked up and down the bus, laughed like nobody's business and took lotz and lotz of photos. And our joker Uncle David aka 'or gui nizer' was walking up and down like some steward he even helped the driver to annouce the moment we arrived at the casueway. LOL!! Even at Singapore causeway, we were still so super high. I think we the aunty at the pawn mee stall added some drugs in our food. However by the time we crossed Malaysia causeway, we were halfdead. All of us slept till the time we arrived at our first stop for toilet break and supper. After the first stop, i went into lala land. I can't really remember what time i woke up. Only knew i woke up at the very last stop and was about to arrive at our hotel - Sunway Hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we could not check-in as it was still early. So we had to leave our bags at the consiage and wash up at the toilet. Lucky da jie had facial face. If not i dunno what will happen to my face. Oily?? And of course all of use started putting on makeup. Not powder means eye brow pencil. Mum better still. Asked if i have tonner with me. -_- she thought my bag is like xiao ting dang. Can fit everything inside. After all the washing up we went out for breakfast at some roadside 'restaurant' which served dim sum. The food was not bad just that most of it were fried. And Uncle David found the small boy waiter cute so asked gen if she needed help to get his number. Haha.
After that we head down to this shopping centre but it did not looked like a shopping centre to me. It was quite a distance from the place we had breakfast. However, the shops there were not even opened and we waited outside like some illegal gathering. We got tired of waiting and felt that it was a waste of time. Thus, we decided to take a cab down to Graundaunt's house instead. We had 6 cabs in total. Woah. Once again. when we arrived at grandaunt's house, she went out to see a doctor. There was another sister there. Her name is Sister Maria. She invited us into her home and once again, we started making alot of noise until grandaunt came back with Sister Aden. It was a few years back since i saw grandaunt. And it was a long time since i went to their home. More than 10 years i think. Chit chat and never ending of photos we taken. We left at 2pm and headed back to the hotel for check-in. The hotel room was like... No door bell, bed sheets were kind of dirty and the list goes on. The most exciting part of the day was our beef steamboat at one of our relative's house. The beef steamboat was really wonderful. No words can describe how yumy the food is. After dinner, we headed down to the night market which sold imitation goods. And there was this Haagen Daze ice cream stall located at this 'coffee shop' just behind the night market. So we were wondering if the Haagen Daze is also imitation too. Returned to hotel at 11pm. When i stepped into the room, i got totally freaked out for one reason and another which i will not say it here. So gen and gwy decided to call aunty to sleep with us. Mum and dad's room was one level down. It was totally freaked and i almost cried.
The next day, we gathered at the cafe for buffet breakfast. And as usual, we were making lotz and lotz of noise. I was the greatest joke of the day due to the drama the night before. They were really scaring me and i nearly cried. Graundaunt came over to the hotel to meet us too. In the late morning we headed down to the newest shopping centre - Queenbay Mall. And from there, we split and did our own shopping. Bought 2 tops from Forever21. And i happened to walk pass this hair salon called Theatre. It was by Pro-Trim Singapore. Thus, mum and i decided to go in since it was so cheap and was by Singapore. It costed less than S$20. Where can i find a salon which charges at this rate?? The hair stylist was really good. He cut all the dead-ends before trimming and thinning my hair. After the hair cut, we went down to the food court for lunch. One by one, all the uncles and aunties and cousins arrived. When aunty jolene and daphne jie knew about the salon, they decided to go for a hair cut too. Haha. And we went for mani-pedicure too. At first we booked a timeslot for 3 person at this manicure shop. And mum heard that da jie went to another manicure shop which offer mani-pedi at a cheaper price. So i was pulled there. And i kind of regretted after seeing Daphne jie's nails. The manicurist at the shop i went too were not really good and the OPI colours were so super limited. They only had weird colours. I should have stick to my timeslot instead. =(
Returned to the hotel for a short break. Or rather we did not have any break. Some of us went to the roadside stall outside the hotel for tea break. And emah was really 'good' at ordering food. She ordered so much food and she din know it was only tea break. She could also forget what she ordered. After that she said actually she was not hungry -_- At 730pm, we walked down to the same shopping centre we went on the first day. And we stopped at the roadside because there was a parade going on. All the aunties were really funny. I could not stop laughing. At parade was not realy fantastic so we left. And once again the shopping centre was not open. Headed for Gamma Shopping Centre which is just accross. Nothing great. Something like Chinatown. And there was nothing for us to eat. Headed back to the hotel once again. It was a dangerous task crossing the road and my hand nearly got pulled of by mum. I think emah was holding on to my right hand and mum was holding on to my left. And we illegal cross. Just when we started crossing the road, mum wanted to pull dad's hand. So i was pulled on both side. I had to scream so that mum could start crossing. The aftermath, a blueblack. Before the night ended some of us went out for supper.
The last day at Penang. Gathering at the same place for breakfast, headed back to room for last minute pack up and boarded the bus at 10am. Fell asleep not long later but got woken up by 2 aunties' and mum's laughter. emah asked such a ramdom question. She saw lots of houses in the 'forest' and she asked what if we stayed there. How are we going to suvive? No market. Have to travel so far. So much was like every week buy different animals. One weak cow, one week pig.. If not shift the whole market. emah said if not can plant sweet potato. how random can they be?? After the first stop, was gossip time and planning of the next trip - Genting. Talked until i fall asleep. Sleep was on and off. Not longer than 2 hours. Arrived at Goldenmile at 9 plus. Home sweet home when the clock striked 10. Wow.By the time i bath and wash up, it was already 11 plus. And i had to go back to school the next day. =(
I went back to school a zombie. Not energy to do things and was hoping i had some time to sleep.
Hope there will be another family trip. If not an annual event. Haha.
